A note from Rich Sutton:

An interesting thing happened during the spring break trip. A church lady from Veracruz, Mexico had purchased some land for the building of a church. As the years went by, she became discouraged of ever getting a church built and sold the land. Then God impressed her to buy the land back again, which she did. She waited 28 years with the hope of getting a church, and believing that God would provide. You can imagine the joy she had at seeing us come, and getting her long awaited church.

Mexican Bible Worker:

As many of you know, Rich & Pam Sutton from the Mesick SDA Church have been organizing short-term Mexico Mission Trips since 1989. In that time frame they have built 25 churches for our brothers and sisters in Mexico! Over the years, with increased manpower, they have increased the outreach to not only include building churches, but also are now facilitating a week long VBS, dental clinics, health fairs & also providing thousands of books for Mexican colporteurs to sell and distribute.

They have had many, many baptisms through these efforts, but would like to ask your help to capitalize even more. In faith, Mexico Mission Trips has hired a full-time Mexican Bible Worker through the Mexican Conference, who is currently working in the regions we will be building churches and doing clinics this year. The cost to support this worker is only $600 per month. We are asking churches and/or individuals to help us to raise the funds needed to meet this small monthly stipend to support this worker.

There will be no administration costs that are taken out of your monthly contribution. 100% of these funds will support this Bible Worker in Mexico. We are searching for annual or monthly contributions for this fund. If you or your church would like to contribute, please contact George Corliss at 231-878-6389 or email me.

2nd Annual Mexico Mission Reunion November 3rd

On November 10th, Mexico Mission Trips is having their 2nd Annual Reunion Weekend at the Cadillac SDA Church in Cadillac, Michigan. We will be part of Sabbath School, facilitating the church service, fellowship dinner, conduction a symposium in the afternoon and then having a wonderful Reunion Spaghetti Dinner (cooked by Marvin!) beginning at 6:00pm at Northview School to cap of a wonderful day’s activities.

Cost to attend the dinner is a $5 per person donation, with all proceeds benefiting Mexico Mission Trips. We will also be spotlighting at the dinner, the group of missionaries who went on the year 2000 trip.

Please make plans to join us, as we celebrate what the Lord has done! It should be a wonderful day!

Marvin has contacted me about the kitchen needs. In order to keep our costs as low as possible, he has sent a list of items that he would like to have donated.

Please let me know as soon as possible what you will be able to bring, so Marvin will know what he needs to purchase. Thank you so much for making this mission trip possible!!!
